(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 27, 2009 ) SAN JUAN del SUR, Nicaragua—For the first of the 2010 series, the popular Piedras y Olas Hotel will welcome a new concept in Nicaragua’s Yoga getaways, combining Yoga, Pilates and Surfing. From January 18 to 23, 2010, California practitioner Claire Petretti will conduct this combined program, which will allow both beginners and experienced surfers the chance to enjoy the waves on San Juan’s Maderas beach and other local breaks.
A resident of San Diego, Claire Petretti is a certified personal trainer and Pilates instructor – a graduate of the National Academy of of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a certified yoga instructor, member of the RYT Yoga Alliance. The program will include 5 nights accommodation with breakfast, transfers to and from Managua Airport, one group dinner at the popular El Pozo, San Juan restaurant, one group pool party with Tapas and Sangria, a sailing tour on the hotel’s 48-foot yacht “Pelican Eyes”, a 90-minute massage plus surfing sessions to be conducted by the experts from Nicaragua Surf Report. Each day will begin with Claire’s Vinyasa Flow session and end with a Pilates style workout in late afternoon. The rate for the program is $2095 per person sharing in a double unit with 2 bedrooms, bathrooms and shared kitchen and includes all taxes. There will be plenty of opportunities for adventure sightseeing as well as relaxing.
Piedras y Olas Hotel is set above the cosmopolitan fishing village of San Juan del Sur on the southern coast of Nicaragua which has become a trendy venue for many international visitors as well as second home owners and a fun relaxing place for local Nicaraguenses. The one-of-a-kind luxury hotel, resort and residential community features 66 contemporary units, two restaurants, La Cascada Bar & Restaurant and Bistro La Canoa, and three infinity pools; the whole complex is surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens. A Yoga Pavilion has been newly constructed for the 2010 series.
