To experience modern cowboy culture, visit Sheridan in the summer months when 30 rodeos come to town. The highlight of rodeo season is the 81st Annual WYO Rodeo, scheduled for July 8-17, 2011. As one of the countryÂ’s premier rodeos, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo is nearly two weeks of exciting equestrian events, live music and entertainment, parades, street dances, good food and fun.
While staying in Sheridan visitors can choose from quaint cottages to larger chain hotels to a historic ranch. The Eaton Ranch, located just outside of Sheridan, is the oldest dude ranch in Wyoming and transforms into a charming bed and breakfast during the winter months.
