Giant Pandas, Chimps, and More: Experience Close Encounters With the WorldÂ’s Most Fascinating Wildlife in 2011

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 20, 2011 ) TAMPA, FL— Terra Incognita Ecotours, a company that specializes in wildlife-focused adventure tours recently announced their 2011 lineup of wildlife encounters, and this year offers nature-lovers once in a lifetime changes to witness exotic wildlife in their natural habitat in destinations around the world. Terra Incognita is offering trips to see wild Giant Pandas in China, Chimpanzees in Tanzania, and much more:

Giant Pandas in China
This amazing tour, recently named to Outside Magazine’s “Life List 2010” issue, is the only tour in the world that gives travelers travelers a behind the scenes look at wild Giant Pandas at Foping Nature Reserve in China. This ecotour gives travelers the opportunity to learn about the plight of the endangered Panda while getting a look at the bears in the wild in their natural habitat---not in a protected captive sanctuary. Terra Incognita Ecotours grants visitors exclusive access to one of these reserves, called the Foping Nature Reserve. In addition to daily Panda trekking with professionally trained guides, and stunning scenery, travelers will have the opportunity to visit the city of Xi An with highlights like the Shaanxi History Museum, the Wild Goose Pagoda, and the famed Terra Cotta Warriors and Horse Museum, as well as a visit to Beijing and a tour of the Great Wall of China. Departure Dates; May 8th-19th, 2011 Cost is $5,999 per person.

Chimps in Tanzania
This brand new ecotour to Tanzania gives travelers the chance to experience close encounters with chimps in the wild while making sure that their travel dollars go to a good cause. Wildlife enthusiasts will see this part of Africa as explorer David Livingstone first experienced it while spending a few days in the remote and fascinating Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania which is home to Leopards, Lions, and African Wild Dogs (where sightings of this rarely-seen creature are virtually guaranteed), and more. Guests will also get a front-row seat in Gombe National Park to watch the exact same Chimpanzees that famous wildlife conservationist Jane Goodall has studied for more than 50 years. The tour ends with some rest and relaxation on the private Chapwani Island, just a short distance offshore of Stone Town on the magical spice island of Zanzibar with an optional extension to Zanzibar. For every participant on this trip, a donation will be made to the Jane Goodall Institute. These funds will help support the valuable work of the Jane Goodall Institute and their Roots and Shoots environmental education outreach programs. Departure Dates July 2nd-9th, 2011. Zanzibar extension July 10th-13th, 2011. Cost is $7495 per person.

In addition to Giant Pandas and Chimpanzees, Terra Incognita Ecotours offers wildlife enthusiasts the chance to see BrazilÂ’s wild Jaguars, RwandaÂ’s Mountain Gorillas, IndiaÂ’s Snow Leopards, and other wildlife adventures in locations around the world.
