(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 23, 2011 ) GLENDALE, Cali. – March 22, 2011 – With Egypt’s return to political stability and a restoration of the country’s tourism infrastructure, luxury African safari operator Great Safaris has announced that they are resuming sales and normal tour operations in Egypt. Great Safaris is among the first North American tour operators to resume operations in Egypt following January and February’s widespread political unrest which forced virtually all tour operators to cease operations and cancel all scheduled departures to Egypt. Prior to the county’s political unrest, Great Safaris had seen growing interest in their luxury tours in Egypt and after careful consideration they are now able resume operations and contribute to Egypt’s return to stability.
Egypt’s travel and hospitality infrastructure, as well as its many archaeological sites have now returned to normal operation, which has allowed Great Safaris to recommence sales and operations of their Egyptian itineraries. This includes their 9-day ‘Land of the Pharaohs’ itinerary, which includes tours of Cairo, the Great Pyramids, and a 5 day Nile river cruise, as well as their 15-day ‘Great Egyptian Discovery’ package, a fully escorted tour in which a full-time private Egyptologist accompanies guests on land tours of Egyptian archaeological sites and a Nile cruise.
Great Safaris is a luxury African safari outfitter offering the convenience of a US booking office coupled with 10 on-site offices in Africa, which are fully staffed by dedicated professionals. Destinations include Botswana, Kenya, the Seychelles, Zambia, Egypt, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Rwanda and Tanzania. Great Safaris offers luxury programs to help adventure travelers explore Africa and create enriching life experiences.
