 (EMAILWIRE.COM, October 22, 2011 ) New York, NY -- Silent Hill HD Collection contains the acclaimed “Silent Hill 2” and “Silent Hill 3,” now in high-definition at 750p for enhanced graphics. Both video games have improved in-game voice-over for better narrative. These re-mastered versions still have Akira Yamaoka’s soundtrack, which does not really need any changes considering that the sounds of the two games adds enough suspense. Konami’s Silent Hill HD Collection release date is set for December 31, 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Silent Hill 2 is considered the most preferred installment in the entire Silent Hill series. SH2 received an 85.77% score based on the GameRankings review. In this game, the player will be playing the role of James whose wife died a few years earlier. But he returns to Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his already dead wife, telling James to come back to the town. What he learns upon his return is both chilling and horrifying.
Silent Hill 3 comes in second place after Silent Hill 2 in the GameRankingsÂ’ scoring. In SH3, you will play the role of Heather, a teenager who will try to unravel the link between her inner fears and the abandoned, terrifying town of Silent Hill.
