Rapid thermal processing refers to the heating of silicon wafers to temperatures above 2,192 degree Fahrenheit within seconds to attain nitridation, dopant activation, metal reflow, thermal oxidation, and chemical vapor deposition within the silicon wafers of a semiconductor.
