(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 11, 2012 ) Phuket, Thailand -- Veterans, tourists and military historians in their hundreds will be swelling the ranks of Hue city centre hotels in February 2012 as the 44th anniversary of the Tet Offensive and the Battle of Hue City takes place.

The Battle of Hue is one of the most renowned from the Vietnam War, and took place around the areas of South Vietnam. The Tet Offensive lasted for almost three years and is one of the most celebrated military campaigns in the US calendar. As such veterans and family members of those who fought and died in the campaign regularly head to Vietnam to commemorate its anniversary.
The anniversary events, which include dinners, presentations, speeches from surviving combatants and more, take place between February 5th and February 19th 2012. The tour host is Colonel Chuck Meadows, and acclaimed storyteller and historian who fought and commanded a company during the Battle of Hue City.
