DirectRooms.com Reports Prosecutors gather to the 12th IAP European Regional Conference in February 2012

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 17, 2012 ) Phuket, Thailand -- The goal of this conference is to bring together prosecutors from throughout Europe in an exchange of information. In speaking with each other about cases of gangs and organized crime, the hope is that a greater understanding of such issues may be reached by each individual prosecutor. Developing a sense of community between prosecutors of different countries is also an objective of this conference.

For the 2012 version of the conference, the theme is Â‘Gangs, Guns, and hooliGansÂ’. The theme is from a direct response to some of the more disturbing events that have happened across Europe, like the London riots, or the murders in Norway. The increase in gang activity is also on the agenda for discussion. Part of the gang discussion is looking into the gang culture that tends to model itself on models from Central America, as well as from extremist politics.

The maximum number of participants allowed in this conference is capped at 60. This means that places are given out on first-come, first-served and anyone who is considering attending should register as soon as possible. The organisers may limit the number of participants from individual countries in order to achieve a cultural balance at the conference.

For conference participants visiting from outside of The Hague area, there is ample accommodation at The Hague hotels. However, it is recommended that visitors book accommodation early to avoid disappointment.
