(I-TravelNewswire.Com, September 13, 2012 ) ESTES PARK, Colo.- Colorado’s YMCA of the Rockies is committed to protecting their beautiful natural environment for future generations. When the organization decided to build three new lodges on their 860-acre Estes Park Center property, environmental impact and sustainability were considered. Today Rams Horn, Longs Peak, and Emerald Mountain Lodges are completed and LEED-certified. The Central Lodges offer hotel comforts like free wifi, granite countertops, private baths, and spacious rooms, each comfortably sleep up to five. Guests can meet in the lodges’ lounges to play games or chat by the roaring fireplace. Out front rocking chairs line the porches, making these tranquil places for taking in the Rocky Mountain view or reading a book. Photos of the surrounding landscape line the hallways, reminding guests to get outside and enjoy Estes Park Center’s many activities.
Overnight guests at YMCA of the Rockies receive complimentary day passes. Guided hikes, sand volleyball, mini golf, mountain bike rides, campfires, and family programs are just a few of the activities included with day passes. On the occasional rainy day, guests can head to the library, Sweet Memorial Building Game Room, Lula W. Dorsey Museum, or the Mootz Arts and Craft Center. Estes Park Center is surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park and a short drive from the park’s entrance. The Central Lodges are open year round with rates starting at $99.
